CrossFit is a constantly varied high intensity functional fitness program.

CrossFit prepares individuals for the unknown with the WOD (workout of the day), a blend of Gymnastics, Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, Running and Rowing.

We want to achieve high standards in all areas of fitness not just excellent in one. We aim to achieve heavy Deadlifts, Squats and Overhead Presses, sprint 200m, 400m, 800m and be able to perform basic gymnastics. ie. Pull ups, Handstands, Dips, Press ups. All of these movements are performed at a high intensity and are scaled to the individuals needs.

Here are the ten areas of fitness that we aim to achieve a high standard in.

– Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance

– Stamina

– Strength

– Flexibility

– Power

– Speed

– Coordination

– Agility

– Balance

– Accuracy

All workouts are scaled to the individual, we recognise that the needs of a Rugby player and the needs of a 40-year-old accountant will be different and therefore intensity, time and loads are scaled to that individuals capabilities. You will be pushed to your limits and helped through the WODS by your fellow CrossFitters. The number one rule is ‘never give up’ on a WOD.

We all learn the 9 foundational movements of CrossFit and increase the intensity levels slowly as to accommodate your body for the regular classes. Upon completion of  the foundations course you will enter the group sessions and perform the WOD (workout of the day). There is a maximum of 8 per class, so as we spend more time on an individual if he or she is struggling with a particular movement.

All sessions are instructed by a Level 1 CrossFit coach who will guide you through the movements and help you on your way to success whatever your goal maybe..
